Rubondo Island National Park

Rubondo Island National Park is a unique island wilderness in Lake Victoria, northwestern Tanzania. The park combines tropical forests, open grasslands, wetlands and lakeshore habitats, supporting elephants, giraffes, hippos, chimpanzees, antelopes and a wide variety of birdlife. The best time to visit Rubondo Island is generally from June to October, when the weather is relatively dry and conditions are favourable for walking, wildlife viewing and boat excursions.
