Mkomazi National Park is a scenic wilderness destination in northeastern Tanzania, located between Mount Kilimanjaro and the Usambara Mountains. The park is known for its open savannahs, rugged landscapes and diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and several species of antelope. The best time to visit Mkomazi is generally from June to October, during the dry season when wildlife is easier to spot and roads are more accessible. The park can also be visited during the wetter months when the landscape becomes greener and birdlife is more active.
