Tarangire National Park is a spectacular safari destination in northern Tanzania, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and beautiful savannah landscapes. The park is home to elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and many other wildlife species. During the dry season, animals gather around the Tarangire River, creating excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.
The best time to visit Tarangire is generally from June to October, when the park is dry and wildlife concentrates around the Tarangire River and other water sources. July to October is particularly suitable for wildlife viewing. During the wetter months, the park becomes greener and offers beautiful scenery and good birdwatching opportunities.
